Travis Thomaston

Travis Thomaston is a native of Carrollton and a 1997 graduate of Carrollton High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Education in 2001, followed by a master of Education and specialist of Educational Leadership, all awarded by the University of West Georgia.

Thomaston started his teaching career at Carrollton Junior High School in 2002 as a seventh grade Life Science teacher. In 2010, he was promoted to assistant principal at Carrollton Elementary School, and served as assistant principal at Carrollton Middle School from 2012-2016 before his appointment as principal of CJHS starting with the 2016-2017 school year.

Thomaston and his wife, the former CeAndra Reese of Carrollton, have a daughter, Liberty. They reside in Carrollton.
